Solids Content 47% ± 2
Active Resin Content 38–39%
pH (2% Solution) 11.0 – 12.0
Packaging 1000 kg IBC Tote
  1. Recommended Starting Dosage

Dosage is based on total final emulsion weight.

Application Suggested Starting Dosage
Slurry Seal 1.00 – 1.20%
Tack Coat 0.80 – 1.10%
Fog Seal 0.80 – 1.00%
Road Binders 1.00 – 1.20%
Hard Pen Emulsions 1.20 – 1.40%
Waterproofing 1.20 – 1.50%

Note: Final dosage must be optimized according to bitumen source, penetration grade, plant conditions and target emulsion specification.

  1. Soap Phase Preparation Procedure

Step 1 – Charge Water

Add required water volume to soap tank or lab reactor.

Step 2 – Add Emulsifen G10000

Add calculated dosage under agitation.

Step 3 – Measure pH

Check pH of diluted soap solution.

Step 4 – Adjust pH if Necessary

Adjust with 50% NaOH solution until soap phase reaches:

Target pH: 12.5 – 13.5

Step 5 – Homogenize

Mix for 10–15 minutes until fully homogeneous.

  1. Why pH Control Is Critical

Although Emulsifen G10000 is supplied pre-saponified, pH correction may still be required after dilution.

Maintaining proper alkalinity ensures:

  • Full resin activation
  • Improved emulsification efficiency
  • Better emulsion stability
  • Compensation for bitumen acidity variation
  • Reduced risk of premature breaking
  1. Performance with Hard Penetration Bitumen

As harder bitumen grades become more common, emulsification becomes increasingly difficult due to:

  • Higher viscosity
  • Reduced dispersion efficiency
  • Greater instability risk

Emulsifen G10000 is specifically recommended for these systems due to:

  • Strong emulsification capability
  • High adhesion contribution
  • Good tolerance to variable bitumen chemistry
  1. Application Positioning

Best Use Cases
